Job Description

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  1. Customs Clearance Management:
  2. Manage and oversee the end-to-end customs clearance process for all import shipments, ensuring compliance with all applicable local and international regulations.
  3. Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of customs forms, including K1, K2, K8/9, ZB, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
  4. Conduct comprehensive reviews of shipping documents for accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.
  5. Lead brokerage compliance and all customs clearance activities for import shipments, managing interactions with regulatory agencies such as MITI, MIDA, SIRIM, and Customs.

Qualifications

  1. Logistics Operations & Coordination:
  2. Prepare operational schedules and coordinate import logistics activities for timely and compliant delivery.
  3. Manage and coordinate with shunting transporters for efficient delivery and pick-up of import shipments.
  4. Materials Purchasing Management:
  5. Develop material requirement plans based on production schedules and create purchase requisitions in SAP.
  6. Create purchase orders in SAP and coordinate with suppliers after approval.
  7. Track delivery of purchase orders to ensure timely receipt of materials.
  8. Transfer purchase documents to the Finance Department for processing.
  9. Regulatory Compliance & Exemptions:
  10. Manage applications for NPCO/PCO COO to meet customer origin certification requirements.
  11. Handle application and renewal processes for MIDA certifications to secure duty exemptions.
  12. Oversee new applications and updates for C1, C3, and CJ5 for SST exemptions.
  13. Ensure logistics operations comply with trade regulations.
  14. Initiate SIRIM applications for electronics demonstration equipment as needed.
  15. Supplier Management & Performance:
  16. Liaise with logistics suppliers, brokers, and transport companies, negotiating rates in line with company policies.
  17. Monitor KPIs of suppliers and transporters, implementing improvements as needed.
  18. Review contracts and SLAs with logistics providers.
  19. Reporting & Compliance Monitoring:
  20. Maintain import records and prepare reports.
  21. Monitor regulatory changes and advise teams to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years experience in import-export processes
  • Experience with LMW setup is advantageous
  • Knowledge of total logistics, supply chain, and customs requirements
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with customs brokerage
