This position is responsible for the Costing/Financial Planning of our Malaysia operations and report into the Senior Manager, Finance in Malaysia Plant.
Responsibilities
- Support on manufacturing PNL and monitor variance, including weekly tracker.
- Support on operations budget and quarterly financial forecast
- Support on preparing financial justification on proposed capex in term of key metrics such as cash flows, payback period, NPV and ROI.
- Assist General manager to drive Operation in achieving the target set by Management and also perform scenario analysis to help on decision making. Timely monthly financial reporting and KPI indicators to support Operations.
- Partnering with operations, product groups, planning, Inventory team and logistics on inventory management, planning, procurement, and cost optimization.
- Accounts reconciliation and analysis and record GL journal entries.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax agent on costing and inventory matters.
- Maintain sound documentation system to support audit requirements.
- Work with the System and Processes team in improving the way of working and redundancy work.
- Responsible for procedures and policies for cost accounting.
- Involve in SAP S4 Hana project.
- Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies. And general duty of care.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
- Support all financial initiatives to drive growth and compliance from time to time.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance to improve cost savings or process improvements, or any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Manage and monitor inventory as per corporate’s direction by working together with inventory team and material planners.

- Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine etc.).

Experience
- 5 - 7 years of working experiences.
- Previous financial accounting experience in a high tech or global company.
- Prior Experience With An Integrated ERP System – SAP Preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or professional equivalent.
- MBA or related advanced degree would be an advantage.CPA or CPA Candidate.
- Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
