Sr Facilities Engineer - Mechanical (HVAC)

This position plays a key role in ensuring that all mechanical systems related to HVAC are well maintained and consistently operating at peak performance to support business operations. Where you come in:
- You are responsible for the day‑to‑day operations to ensure smooth manufacturing operation, compliance to GMP, Dexcom and Malaysia’s safety/environment standards and legislative regulations.
- You oversee the entire activities of facilities mechanical HVAC systems operations. Act as the primary system owner interface with site management and Facilities Operation Team.
- You lead, manage and coordinate closely with main contractors, consultants, clients, and sub‑contractors to implement in accordance with the scope of work, company, and local codes.
- You support and work closely with all Plant EHS.
- You are responsible to ensure the systems run smoothly. Spares/consumables inventory meets critical maintenance requirement.
- You are responsible for review and development of specific documentation, procedures and site change control processes for equipment and process.
- You manage the preventive maintenance and calibration program for facilities equipment in regard to HVAC System.
- You identify and execute improvement and optimisation activities for Mechanical HVAC System.
- You carry out other work or tasks as directed by Manager.
What makes you successful:
- Strong knowledge and experience in mechanical HVAC system setup, operations and maintenance such as AHU, MAU, CRAC, FCU and Process Exhaust in medical devices set up.
- Strong knowledge on integration of HVAC system to BMS.
- Strong knowledge on Clean Room (Class 100K) operations.
- Relevant engineering skills and experience in utility, automation, instrumentation and project management, plant start‑up, operations, and maintenance.
- Sound understanding and experience of GMP & EHS requirements and external/internal audits.
- Strong business and customer focus.
- Good engineering problem solving skills, workload resource planning and prioritization skills.
- Accept continuous challenge and improvement current operations.
- Organized and good team player, able to multi‑task and work under pressure.
- Knowledge on Lean Sigma tools (5S / Pareto /5 why / DMAIC / RCA / Fish bone analysis) will be added advantage.
- Knowledge on ISO standards for medical devices and environmental acts will be and added advantage.
