Job description

The Data Analyst of the Enterprise Information Management team works with various Businesses to understand their need and requirements, proving recommendations based on their analysis of the data from the datawarehouse, with the goal to resolve the Business' requests or issues. The Data Analyst will also be responsible to manage & coordinate the overall development, SIT, UAT & Implementation efforts of datawarehouse projects to ensure business & technical requirements are met within project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and prepare functional specs and data-mapping documents.
• Proficient in SQL, R, and Python for scripting, querying, and data analysis.
• Work closely with ETL/BI teams to ensure systems are delivered according to specifications.
• Analyze data to produce business use cases and models.
• Recommend, present, and implement new innovative use cases and models.
• Perform testing and manage UAT defects, ensuring timely resolution with minimal project impact.
• Conduct root cause analysis on defects reported by the business.

Skills & Experience We Are Looking For

• Candidate is a Malaysia citizen
• Ability to gather, interpret, and document business and system requirements through engagement with users and source-system SMEs.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and source-system data models, including relationships and data structures.
• Proficiency in creating detailed documentation such as Source-to-Target Mappings (STM), design specifications, test plans, and test cases.
• Experience supporting developers in mapping source attributes to the Teradata FSLDM and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Capability to work with Data Modelers to enhance data models and develop scripts for loading data into EDW base tables.
• Skilled in data analysis, data profiling, and validation to ensure data accuracy and alignment with requirements.
• Experience in testing processes, documenting outcomes, and managing UAT issues until resolution.
