Position Summary

Primary responsible is financial accounting and reporting for MFRS, US GAAP and ensuring compliance with statutory, internal policies and other local regulatory standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Handling and supervising day to day accounting and financial operations, analyze and review data to determine appropriate balances and activities, to ensure financial statements with compliance to accounting standards (MFRS, ESG Reporting & US GAAP), company policies and SOX controls.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and other statutory bodies to ensure compliance with matters relating to audit and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Prepare statutory audit and schedules, draft audit reports and other statutory reporting as required.
  • Ensure accounts or reports or other statutory filings are complete for government agency, audit, and SSM submission in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with auditor, company secretary, local government agencies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all agencies\' and regulators\' reporting requirements.
  • Participate in developing effective internal controls process and compliance with local GAAP for financial or statutory reporting.
  • Proactively highlight challenges on financial data, address risk and concern
  • Perform ad-hoc assignment or projects as needed and provide support to internal business partners such as finance or operation function.
  • Strong process and simplification skillset will be added advantage.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, preferably with professional qualifications (eg. ACCA, MIA etc).
  • At least 7-10 years of working experience in audit and multinational companies.
  • Demonstrate strong project management, communication in English and interpersonal skill, able to work independently and collaboratively under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Ability to think broadly and connect-the-dot on complex matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Office.
  • Proficient in Accounting software such as Oracle EBS, Tableau or Power Query experience will be an added advantage.

  • With knowledge of Oracle EBS
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Office
  • With knowledge in Tableau or Power Query will be an added advantage.
