Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
- Oversee all aspects of spare parts inventory — ordering, receiving, storage, issuing, and stock control.
- Ensure proper stock levels are maintained to prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
2. Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Source and evaluate new suppliers for competitive pricing and quality.
- Negotiate purchase terms, discounts, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Ensure timely procurement and replenishment based on demand and forecast.
3. Sales & Customer Service
- Manage retail counter sales, internal workshop requisitions, and external dealer orders.
- Develop sales strategies to increase spare parts revenue and profitability.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and warranty claims related to parts.
4. Pricing & Profitability
- Set and monitor pricing strategies aligned with company profit targets.
- Review cost structure and market competitiveness regularly.
- Ensure accuracy of pricing in system records and invoices.
5. Team Management
- Supervise parts advisors, storekeepers, and clerical staff.
- Provide training and guidance to enhance product knowledge and service efficiency.
6. Reporting & Compliance
- Generate periodic reports on stock movement, sales performance, and aging inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, ISO/5S standards, and safety regulations in the parts warehouse.
- Support management in audits and internal control reviews.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Automotive Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in spare parts management, preferably in the automotive or motorcycle industry.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of spare parts cataloguing and inventory systems.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP/stock management systems.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination abilities.
