Job description

The Spa Therapist is responsible for providing professional spa treatments—including massages, body therapies, facials, and wellness services—to ensure an exceptional guest experience. The role involves maintaining treatment standards, ensuring hygiene and safety, and promoting spa services and products.

Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Service

Greet guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming and relaxing environment.

Conduct consultations to identify guest needs, preferences, and contraindications.

Deliver high-quality spa treatments (massage, body therapies, facial treatments, etc.) following established protocols.

Ensure guest comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout the treatment.

Explain aftercare recommendations and promote suitable spa products.

2. Treatment Delivery

Provide a range of massage techniques (Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy, hot stone, etc.) depending on certification.

Perform body scrubs, wraps, facials, and other therapeutic services as trained.

Adapt treatments based on guest conditions or requests while maintaining service quality.

Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of treatment rooms, tools, linens, and equipment.

Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Ensure correct usage and storage of spa products and supplies.

4. Operations & Administration

Manage booking schedules and ensure punctuality for all appointments.

Record guest information, treatment notes, and product sales accurately.

Communicate any guest concerns or equipment issues to the Spa Manager.

Promote spa treatments, packages, and retail products to enhance guest experience and meet sales targets.

Stay updated on new products, techniques, and services.

Education / Certification

Certification or diploma in Massage Therapy / Spa Therapy / Esthetics.

Additional certifications (e.g., aromatherapy, reflexology, Thai massage) are an advantage.

Experience

Minimum 1 years of experience as a Spa Therapist (hotel, resort, wellness center, or spa preferred).

Fresh graduates with strong training may be considered.

Skills

Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques.
