A leading technology firm in Malaysia is seeking a qualified candidate to manage suppliers in supply chain operations. Responsibilities include reviewing materials in the BOM, preparing quotes, and conducting supplier assessments. Candidates should have a Diploma or higher in Engineering/Business Administration, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Job Description
  • Review all data in the entire BOM & responsible to source materials / components per MPN, Manufacturer, Description & Drawings.
  • Prepare quote package & monitor RFQ through process & documenting all concerns, discrepancies & issues for new/bidding project related.
  • Manage all suppliers in a manner consistent with the highest professional, ethical, moral & legal standards.
  • To plan, source & develop new potential suppliers at the competitive price, quality & lead time.
  • Managing & coordinating supplier selection and qualification & conducting Supplier Audit Program (SAP) together with Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE).
  • Manage supplier performance, consolidate & maintain all suppliers performance & indicators. Prepare Supplier Quarterly Performance Assessment (SQPA) report.
  • Manage system data entry, ASL setup and ensure updates are accurate and timely.
  • Maintain product price list, approved suppliers master list & Contract Agreements.
  • Embark on cost reduction activities & participate in regular cost saving programs.
  • Coordinate interaction between the section in the Material department & all other departments.
  • Supporting the organization by driving early supplier involvement, meeting bill of material cost targets via should cost analysis and sourcing timelines.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risk.
  • Team player, adaptive to organizational change and flexible in embracing changes.
  • Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
  • To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standard approved by Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instruction, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, in Engineering/Business Administration or equivalent. Preferable with Engineering background.
  • Preferably 2 year(s) & above working experience in manufacturing/automation line, preferable with experience in Supply Chain Management/Sourcing related.
  • Initiative, aggressive & with good organisational skills.
  • Good in written and oral communication skills. Pleasant personality and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, take initiative, well organized, attention to details.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision, work under pressure and propensity to meet timeline.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Words and Powerpoint) is a must and experience in using ERP software is advantageous.
