Job summary

A leading Industrial PC manufacturer in Penang is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide pre and post sales services. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering and at least one year of experience in technical support. Responsibilities include maintaining customer relationships, supporting software technical issues, and managing server and cloud infrastructure. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English are required, while knowledge of SCADA systems is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/IT/Engineering.
  • 1-2 years of experience in technical support and after sales services.
  • Proficient in database handling.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Provide pre and post sales services to ensure customer satisfactions.
  • Maintain good working relationship with customers by providing solutions and advice based on clients’ needs and requirements.
  • Developing new feature or model for industrial software.
  • Maintain Server, Cloud Infra in Advantech ASEAN Service Center.
  • Support software technical support for IIOT, SIOT, and PaaS Solution.
  • Support technical issue for DFSI & customers based in northern region.
  • Study & provide support on Advantech Software to relevant WISE-PaaS VIP customers.
  • Provide software technical support including WISE-PaaS to ASEAN region.
Requirements
  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
  • Proficient in handling database (time series based and raw data).
  • At least one or two years’ experience in technical support and after sales services.
  • Knowledge in SCADA system and Industrial Protocol would be an added advantage.
  • Passionate, meticulous and tech savvy.
  • Enthusiastic in learning new technology and strong commitment to customer service.
  • Strong creativity & clear understanding of the system’s architecture to generate solutions to cater to customer’s need.
  • Analytical, self-motivated and a good team player.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Required language(s): English in both speaking and writing. Proficiency in Mandarin would be an added value.
