Join the dynamic team at One Pay Technology as a Software Engineer. In this full-time position, you will design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions that power real-world IoT cashless payment systems, merchant platforms, and cloud-based management tools.

Based in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, you’ll work on impactful products used daily by merchants nationwide, collaborating closely with hardware, firmware, and business teams to turn ideas into production-ready solutions.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and operational requirements and translate them into reliable software solutions
• Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance applications across mobile, web, cloud, and embedded systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and architecture to testing and deployment
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize systems to improve performance, stability, and scalability
• Actively adopt AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, debugging, and rapid prototyping
• Continuously explore new technologies and contribute ideas to improve product quality and team efficiency

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Flutter (Dart), Arduino/C++, JavaScript and scripting languages, with strong familiarity in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience using AI-powered tools to enhance coding productivity, problem-solving, and system optimization
• Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and independently
• Experience with databases, API development, and cloud platforms
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-moving team
• Passion for technology, hands-on learning, and building real-world products
