Job description

Overview

• Research, analyze, and understand existing systems to identify modernization opportunities, improvement areas, and technology upgrade requirements.
• Modernize, enhance, and optimize software systems to improve performance, security, user experience, maintainability, and scalability.
• Design and develop new modules or migrate legacy components using modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and updated programming standards.
• Support migration and transition activities including code refactoring, data migration, cloud adoption, system redesign, and API integration.
• Implement system architecture improvements to support future business needs and digital transformation initiatives.
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Prepare documentation including technical specifications, modernization plans, system behaviour, and deployment/support procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams, business users, and stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend modernization solutions and best practices.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and technical refinements to maintain long-term system sustainability.
• Support and promote the company’s modernization solutions/products to clients locally and internationally.

Requirements

• Candidate with at least Diploma / Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / IT or equivalent.
• Between 1 - 2 years of application development, integration, and testing
• Good technical skills on ASP.NET Core MVC, VB. Net, C#, Python, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JQuery, MSSQL and Oracle SQL.
• Able to implement and integrate the Web APIs or web services.
• Experienced in mobile development with React Native/Flutter is a plus.
• Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Able to work both independently/ in a team-oriented, self-motivated, and positive working attitude.
• Basic experience in analysing user requirements or gathering system feedback from end-users.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
