Job description
Description
  • Supervise construction execution at the worksite until completion and handover of the facilities to the next project phase based on approved schedule and procedure while maintaining the quality and safety.
  • Supervise construction execution at the worksite. Ensuring the construction work at site conducted based on the approved schedule and procedure approved by the project manager. Ensure the work based on good engineering practices. Supervise the work quality and safety.
  • Understand the requirement, procedure and prerequisite requirements for the project in achieving the mechanical completion and handover of the assets/facilities. Supervise the work system and physical execution at worksite prior to acceptance of work. Assist commissioning works and deliverables.
  • Ensure monitoring/ surveillance activities are being conducted on an ongoing basis. Monitoring and documenting construction activities, including progress, deviations from plans, and non-conformance issues. Maintain daily reports and log of daily activities.
  • Conducting pre-construction and post-construction inspections to identify potential issues and ensure proper installation and implementation of construction works.
  • Reviewing construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure that all site activities are carried out according to reference documentation within area of responsibility, authorizing acceptance at quality control completion.
  • Ensure contractors are generating and providing the required QC documentation on timely basis.
  • Ensure the materials used are approved by company and satisfy the requirements and specifications.
  • Conducting inspections and acceptance of construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Documenting inspection findings, test results, and other quality-related data in detailed reports.
  • Cooperate and implement relative corrective actions, NCRs, FCNs etc. Systematically records the nonconformity or event reports issued and identify appropriate corrective actions.
  • Inform the Project Engineer of any deviation regarding the contract.
  • Check the completeness and conformity to specified applicable requirements, standards and/or directives.
  • Any other project supervision or QAQC duties.
  • Ensure that construction activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards
  • Supervise the implementation construction work based on the HS'E set by the business unit, project requirement and CONTRACT such as HSEMS and MCF. Implement the execution at the project site and educate the contractor and subcontractor on the best practices and right execution to ensure the HSE and quality KPI is met.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Engineering field or SPM certificate
  • Possess PCN Level 2 would be advantage
  • Minimum 8 years (minimum 10 years for SPM holders) working experience in the oil and gas related industry.
  • Preferable with mechanical inspector certificate and past experience with Oil & Gas project
  • Well versed in the latest edition of Factories and Machinery Act of Malaysia, governing codes and standards, and current worldwide best practice on design, fabrication, corrosion and inspection, e.g. PTS, BS, ASME, ANSI, API and NACE.
