Job summary

A construction management company in Kedah, Malaysia is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee day-to-day project activities, manage manpower and subcontractors, and assist in project scheduling and procurement. Job description

a) Responsible for the day-to-day construction activities of the project.

b) Co-ordinates delivery of materials, planning and integration of all manpower, equipment and systems in accordance with the contract requirements.

c) To oversee overall facilities management so as to maximize productivity and efficiency including providing assistant and advice on tools and equipment enhancement.

d) Manpower & Subcontractor management. Reviewing all project manpower requirements regularly, ensuring that the human resources are properly matched to the workload and responsibilities.

e) Responsible for detail installation, task assignment, quality and materials accountability of the project.

f) To assist the Project Manager/Engineer in project scheduling including developing of bi- weekly look ahead schedule

g) To assist in project procurement including discussion & clarification with vendors & sub-contractors on technical related matters.

h) To assist in Progress Claims submission including verifying of work done based on contract requirement

i) Submission of Daily & Weekly Report

Qualification:

A high school diploma or equivalent; however, a bachelor’s degree in any engineering, or related field is often preferred.

Proven experience in construction management or a similar role, typically 3-5 years, demonstrating a track record of managing personnel and projects successfully.

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations is essential.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills necessary for managing diverse teams and interfacing with clients and stakeholders.
