Overview

Seamec Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team at SEAMEC MY in Masai, Johor. As a Site Safety Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all site activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company standards, while promoting a safe and healthy working environment. You will be responsible for monitoring site safety practices, conducting inspections, and coordinating with site teams to prevent accidents and hazards. Consistently demonstrating strong performance and commitment to safety excellence in this contract role will significantly increase your chances of being considered for a permanent position with the company.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the implementation of HSE plan at project sites
• Assisting with the supervision of site supervisors and ensuring they understand and fulfil their HSE responsibilities
• Coordinating their activities with those of other HSE personnel such as Safety and Health Representatives, First Aid Officers, Building Wardens, Wardens and designated buildings within the project sites
• Conducting or coordinating regular site HSE inspections
• Periodically inspecting hazards, incidents and injury reports, investigating where appropriate and taking appropriate action to achieve safe working and prevent recurrences
• Informing others of possible hazards by the distribution and circulation of safety information and by appropriate publicity (e.g., circulars, posters), and assisting the SHO / Project team in any investigation of accident, near miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational diseases

What we're looking for

• Degree / Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science / Health & Safety or equivalent / relevant disciplines
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety supervision and implementation in building construction industry
• Registered competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with the Occupational Safety & Health Department (DOSH) - valid Yellow Book
• Able to communicate well in English & Bahasa Malaysia – both verbal and written
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to work (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm) (Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm)
