A construction company in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to manage the health and safety system and conduct safety training. The successful candidate will work closely with department heads and government authorities to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Key responsibilities include conducting audits, risk assessments, and ensuring the implementation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role demands effective communication skills and experience in the construction industry.
Plan, implement, and manage the health and safety system to ensure compliance with statutory and company regulations and procedures.
Work closely with all department heads to provide input related to safety, health, and environmental matters.
Conduct safety briefing/training for all new employees, contractors, vendors & etc.
Liaise with relevant government authorities and resolve the safety issues arising from the site.
Conduct periodic safety meetings and audits to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
To assist during audits, and inspections and maintain all documentation and records.
To identify potential risks on the construction site and constantly track the safety & health performance under OSHA regulations.
Enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) implementation at work site.
