Job description

Zalam Corporation Sdn Bhd, a leading construction company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Site Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of our construction projects in Selangor. This is a contract position, offering the opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of our dynamic organisation.

Responsibilities

• (1) Prepare As-built Dwg from Surveyor
• (2) Process BQ item to claim, summary of quantity and progress photo
• (3) Prepare Construction drawing and other QS related documentation
• (4) Conduct Site Valuation with authority, consultant, engineer etc
• (5) Prepare sub-contractor claims, Certificate of Payment and cross check qty is correct.
• (6) Prepare variation order to claim and backcharge to sub-contractor.
• (7) Prepare some quotation and work order for awarded to sub-con or supplier.
• (8) Updated documentation e.g.Letter, quotation, backcharge work, revise dwg, RFI
• (9) Measure and value the work done on site
• (10) Prepare sub-con tender process to final account
• (11) Other ad-hoc assignment as instructed by Superior

What we're looking for

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Site Quantity Surveyor, in the construction industry
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost management principles, and quantity surveying practices
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software, such as measurement and estimating tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
