Job Purpose

The Site Engineer / Project Engineer (Civil) is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and managing civil works for substation and T&D infrastructure projects, including foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, and related structures. The role ensures all works are executed safely, on time, and in accordance with technical and quality standards. Candidates with strong construction background are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage daily site activities for civil works related to substations and T&D infrastructure.
  • Oversee construction of foundations, control rooms, equipment plinths, cable trenches, drainage, and structural works.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth site execution.
  • Monitor work progress, quality, and productivity against project schedule and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements at site.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspections, and as-built documentation.
  • Identify site issues, technical risks, or delays and propose corrective actions.
  • Support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and site administration.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of experience in substation, T&D, or general construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge in concrete works, foundations, earthworks, and structural works.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Familiar with site safety, quality control, and construction practices.
  • Able to work independently and manage site activities.
  • Willing to be based on project sites when required.
