A leading construction firm in Mersing is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to supervise site operations and ensure project compliance. Roles include coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, preparing necessary documentation, and monitoring project progress. Ideal candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry, along with strong supervision and communication skills. The position requires availability beyond standard hours during critical phases of construction.

Supervise and monitor daily site operation to ensure work is carried out according to project plan and specifications.
Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials.
Prepare, review and update site reports, progress records and documentation required for project tracking.
Ensure that all construction works comply with safety regulations, quality standards and company policies.
Assist in project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring to achieve project milestones.
Conduct sites inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with design and technical requirements.
Identify and resolve technical issues or discrepancies encountered during constructions.
Monitor and verify quantities, material usage and workmanship to prevent wastage and ensure cost effieciency.
Liase with the project manager and consultants regarding technical drawings, changes, and progress updates.
Assist in preparing site‑related documents such as method statements, request for inspection and as‑built drawings.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction industry.
Familiarity with public procurement processes, contractor billing and site‑level documentation.
Experience in dealing with public audits and RTI‑compliance desirable.
Strong technical supervision and coordination skills.
Knowledge of public works procedures and documentation.
Effective communication with stakeholders including contractors, local authorities and government officials.
Competence in using levelling instruments, AutoCAD and MS Excel for documentation.
Understanding of labour laws, safety norms (including IS codes) and environmental clearances.
Requires availability beyond standard hours during key construction phases.
