Job summary

A growing engineering firm in Malaysia, Selangor, is seeking a detail-oriented Site Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background. This role involves overseeing electrical and ACMV works at project sites, ensuring timely execution, and maintaining safety standards. Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in related fields and proficiency in AutoCAD are preferred. Fluency in Mandarin is an asset due to interaction with Mandarin-speaking clients. Willingness to travel to project sites in Klang Valley is required.

Job description

As part of our business expansion, we are looking for a committed and detail-oriented Site Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to join our growing team. This role is primarily responsible for overseeing electrical and ACMV-related works at project sites, ensuring timely execution in accordance with project plans, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible to handle and complete the project within the pre-determined cost & time
• Attend site meeting and monitor site work progress, sub-con & workers attendance
• Assist in planning project schedules, drawings approval, and monitor project timelines to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines
• Liaise with the main contractors Builders, Consultants, other M&E services
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and work completion documentation
• Position to be based at site in the Klang Valley; outstation travel may be required
• Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires candidates to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering field
• At least 2 year working experience in AMCV systems or related fields such as electrical, mechanical, or control systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, project management tools, and Microsoft Office
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues on-site
• Good communication and coordination skills to work with teams and contractors
• Possess own transport, willingness to travel and work at project sites
