Job summary

A global manufacturing firm in Kuala Selangor seeks a proactive workshop manager to oversee production tasks, ensure compliance with standards, and maintain safety. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of management experience in manufacturing. Proficiency in Chinese and ideally Bengali is necessary. The role offers a salary range of RM 2,000 - RM 4,000, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and possibly requires overtime.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of workshop management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Must be proficient in Chinese and preferably speak Bengali.
• Knowledge of automation and digital tools is a plus.

Job description

We are a publicly listed group company in China. With the advancement of our global strategy, we are establishing a new branch in Malaysia and are looking for a passionate and talented individual to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

1. According to the production plan, reasonably assign team tasks to ensure the production line completes daily/weekly/monthly production targets on time and in quantity.
2. Strictly implement production process standards and work instructions to ensure operators work in compliance with regulations.
3. Organize first article inspection, self-inspection and mutual inspection, and promptly identify and handle quality issues.
4. Be responsible for the management of Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain and Safety (6S) in the production area.
5. Ensure the working environment is clean, orderly and safe, with tools and materials placed in fixed positions; create a good working atmosphere and improve team morale.
6. Implement safety production rules and regulations, and conduct regular inspections of potential safety hazards.
7. Accurately record production data, such as output, working hours, material consumption, equipment downtime, etc.

Job Requirements

1. Education & Major: College degree or above; majors in statistics, on-site management and other related fields are preferred.
2. Work Experience: At least 1-2 years of workshop management experience; experience in manufacturing industry or Chinese-funded enterprises is preferred.
3. Language Proficiency: Essential! Chinese+Bengali(perfeered combination).Chinese+English(acceptable alternative).

• Pressure Resistance: Adapt to high-intensity work and maintain team morale.

1. Salary Range: RM 2,000 - RM 4,000 (including overtime pay; specific amount depends on work experience and ability).
2. Working Hours: 8:30 — 17:00 (overtime may be required).
