Job summary

A global healthcare company in Malaysia is looking for a SHE Coordinator to support the SHE Manager and manage SHE-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field, along with 3-5 years’ experience in SHE roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector. Strong knowledge of local SHE legislation and excellent communication skills are crucial. The role promotes a strong SHE culture and compliance with regulations.

The Position

You will be :

  • Support the SHE Manager and line management in all SHE-related matters. Promote a strong SHE culture in line with local and global Roche SHE objectives and goals. Ensure compliance with local legal regulations and Roche SHE provisions.
  • Support line management in SHE training programs for employees. Conduct SHE audits and inspections to ensure operational requirements are adequate and in place.
  • Ensure risk assessment processes are implemented, documented, and continuously improved. Review, monitor, document, and support communication of SHE information and documentation. Establish and maintain relationships with local authorities, professional organizations, scientific bodies, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and ensure training of the Emergency Response Team (First Aiders & Floor Wardens). Promote Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) sustainability initiatives across the organization.
  • Act as Business Continuity Management (BCM) Deputy for the site. Act as Deputy Lead Record Management Coordinator. Perform any other SHE-related duties as assigned.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. At least 3–5 years of experience in a SHE role, preferably in pharmaceutical, manufacturing or corporate environments. Registered Green Book Competent Person (preferred / an added advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of local SHE legislation
  • Experience in risk assessments, audits, inspections, and training facilitation.
  • Good understanding of BCM, ESG and emergency response management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills & proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
