Job description

As a Settlement Analyst - Transfers you will be responsible for processing and administering all transfer instructions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness so that underlying beneficial owners receive the same high standard of service they would expect if assets were held in their own name.

This role sits within FNZ’s Investment Operations division, supporting both Australian and New Zealand FNZ Wrap clients. You will work across a diverse range of products, including equities, fixed income, managed funds, and foreign exchange, covering both domestic and international markets.

This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while working both independently and collaboratively.

The responsibilities will include:
  • Transfer Processing: Manage daily transfer instructions, including initiation, settlement, and investigation of asset breaks, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain all required records to ensure transparency and compliance with regulatory and audit standards.
  • Email & Case Management: Monitor group inboxes and internal case logs, providing regular updates and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Review breach and KPI reports, take ownership of exceptions, and provide feedback or resolution as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with Service and Support teams to develop system and process enhancements that improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Documentation & Controls: Work with management to review and update procedures regularly, enhancing process efficiency and control measures.
  • Testing & Projects: Participate in testing of process-related functions for project releases and regression testing, and support other tasks or projects as required to ensure smooth team operations.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Investment Operations role.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and wealth management products (preferred).
  • Proactive and confident, with the ability to take initiative in a client-focused, delivery-driven environment.
  • Self-directed and results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proven communications skills – both written and verbal given there will be a lot of communication with external stakeholders
