We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our team — someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, ensures operational reliability, and delivers exceptional customer service. This role plays a key part in ensuring our valve and actuator systems meet the highest standards across oil & gas and other industrial sectors.

Job Overview

The Service Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the service, repair, and maintenance of valves and actuators to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role involves cross-functional coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure efficient project execution within set timelines, costs, and quality benchmarks. The engineer also ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, while driving continuous improvements in service delivery and cost control.

Core Responsibilities
  • Service Execution
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise servicing, repairs, and maintenance of valves and actuators, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution.
  • Project Management
  • Lead service projects by developing schedules, preparing Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Job Method Statements (JMS), and managing resources including manpower and materials.
  • Liaise with suppliers for parts sourcing, inspections, and logistics. Maintain professional communication with customers and resolve issues promptly.
  • Scheduling & Planning
  • Confirm job scope, prepare and update service schedules, and coordinate on-site activities within project timelines.
  • Supervise technicians and freelance workers, verify attendance and timesheets, arrange transport, and work with Finance to process payments and claims.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports, test plans, cash flows, and project documentation for internal and customer use.
  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Build long-term client relationships through responsive communication, regular updates, and clear documentation including meeting minutes and service reports.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering
  • Service Engineer: 1–2 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Practical knowledge in valve/actuator repair, overhaul, and pressure testing.
  • Familiar with valve components, materials, and applications in oil & gas, water treatment, or chemical plants.
  • Understanding of valve components and materials (seals, stems, seats, etc)
  • Skilled in using precision tools and reading P&IDs and technical manuals.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed.
  • Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Additional Requirements (Advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience in valve seat lapping, actuator calibration
  • Past involvement in turnaround/shutdown maintenance projects
  • Exposure to commissioning and decommissioning of valve system
  • Possession of industry-recognized training or certificates (e.g., OGSP, BOSIET)
