Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash positions and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Prepare short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts.
• Optimize cash utilization and minimize idle funds.
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Handle banking facilities such as overdrafts, loans, trade facilities, and guarantees.
• Assist in negotiations of financing terms, interest rates, and fees.

Payments & Controls

• Oversee payment processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper authorization.
• Ensure compliance with internal treasury controls and approval limits.
• Review and improve treasury SOPs and workflows.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposure and execute FX transactions when required.
• Support risk mitigation strategies for interest rate and currency risks.
• Prepare treasury reports, cash position reports, and management summaries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to treasury.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with company policies, banking covenants, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and internal stakeholders during audits and reviews.

Team & Stakeholder Support

• Guide and review work of junior treasury staff (if applicable).
• Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Management on cash planning matters.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in treasury or finance-related roles.
• Strong understanding of cash management, banking facilities, and financial controls.
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems/ERP.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Preferable with Experience in multi-entity or retail/FMCG environments.
• Familiarity with FX transactions and loan documentation.
