Responsibilities
- Lead the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, ensuring timely follow-up on team deliverables, conducting analysis, and compiling results.
- Develop and present key business materials such as the Target Business List, Program Start documentation, and Quote & Go decks to leadership.
- Manage assigned customer accounts to meet sales, gross margin, and collection objectives.
- Identify and cultivate new customers and sales channels to support ongoing business growth.
- Deliver effective after-sales support to maintain customer satisfaction and service quality, actively incorporating customer feedback.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, industry developments, and customer outlook to inform strategic decisions.
- Execute internal initiatives and projects in alignment with company goals and strategies.
- Lead pricing negotiations and formalize agreements/contracts for new product development within the defined business scope, subject to Executive Committee approval.
- Support Accounts Receivable (AR) by ensuring timely monthly payments from customers.
- Assist the Finance team in business planning, including reviewing and issuing quotations, negotiating pricing, payment terms, Engineering Design & Development (ED&D) costs, and economic recovery components.
- Lead commercial negotiations related to engineering changes, ensuring program profitability.
- Prepare and maintain regular sales reports, including weekly updates and monthly performance summaries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales, ideally within the automotive sector.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics with a customer‑centric approach.
- Self‑motivated and results‑oriented, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to diverse client interactions.
- A proactive team player with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.
- Basic knowledge of finance, cost analysis, and contractual/legal terms.
- Strong analytical abilities for data gathering and reporting.
- Skilled in program management and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Must possess own transportation and be willing to travel as needed.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage due to client engagement.
- Primary work location is Shah Alam; candidates must be open to relocating to Tanjung Malim.
