Job summary

A reputable recruitment agency in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to develop and implement sourcing strategies. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management. Proficiency in Mandarin and English, along with certification in Supply Chain Management, is preferred. This role includes responsibilities such as negotiating supplier contracts and monitoring performance for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain management.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc) and regulatory requirements.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize the supply chain.
• Identify and onboard strategic suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to drive continuous improvement and mitigate risks.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives and drive projects to achieve cost reductions without compromising quality or delivery.
• Stay informed about market trends, industry regulations, and technological advancements relevant to sourcing and supply chain management.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure team success and professional growth.

Job requirements

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in supply chain management or related discipline
• Ideally 8 or more years of experience of strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, within a engineering manufacturing.
• Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain management
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc) and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in both Mandarin and English languages for business needs
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g. CPSM) or equivalent as plus bonus
• Willingness and ability to travel overseas (China, Singapore etc)
