Job description

This is a contract role for a Senior Software Engineer located in Cyberjaya, with some work-from-home flexibility, making it a hybrid role. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining backend systems and software solutions. Day-to-day tasks include programming, debugging, and ensuring the efficiency and scalability of software applications. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and solve complex software issues

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering for developing medium to large-scale systems.
• Proven design and delivery of RESTful APIs at scale with strong API governance.
• Good understanding on database fundamentals (modeling, transactions, performance, replication) across SQL and NoSQL.
• Proficiency in at least one of: C#/.NET or Java/Spring Boot.
• Coding Principles: Strong advocacy for clean coding and development best practices (SOLID, DRY, KISS)
• Development Practices: Proficiency in Object-Oriented (OO) design and scrum methodologies.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD), Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, and Caching Strategies is advantageous. Proficiency in Elastic Search, FluentValidation, Restful API, Mediator Pattern, and Entity Framework
