Senior Software Engineer (Penang / Kuala Lumpur - FINTECH)

This role is based in our new setup in Penang, but if you prefer to be based in KL, you can also choose to work from our Kuala Lumpur office (Menara Worldwide, Bukit Bintang).

Hybrid work arrangement available after confirmation for selected candidates.

What You’ll Do

• Lead projects – Work with a team of software engineers, plan with Project Managers, get hands-on to get the job done

• Work with clients – Understand requirements and translate them into elegant system designs

• Drive technical excellence – Collaborate with architects, shape new features and champion best practices

• Ensure quality – Enforce code reviews, testing and CI/CD standards

• Grow teams – Motivate and develop engineers to reach their full potential

• Keep communication flowing – Bridge clients, teams and management with clear updates

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering (or similar)

• 3+ years in software engineering with at least 1 year in team leadership

• Strong in Java, JavaScript, Node.js (other languages welcome too!)

• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Linux, Java app servers (Tomcat), containers (Kubernetes/Docker Swarm)

• Familiar with Agile/Scrum, design patterns and modern software architecture

• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with tools like Jira is a plus

More experienced candidates will be considered for managerial positions.
