Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly responsible Senior Site Supervisor to join our team in Malaysia. The Senior Site Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing daily site operations, supervising site personnel, and ensuring construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive site experience, and a thorough understanding of local construction practices, regulations, and safety requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure a consistently high standard of work in accordance with specifications and quality standards through regular inspections with sub-contractors.
• Oversee multiple projects.
• Direct and supervise day-to-day operations of sub-contractors, ensuring adherence to standard operational procedures.
• Ensure timely issuance of material requisitions to meet the construction program.
• Schedule, control, and monitor all plant and materials on a weekly basis.
• Ensure all work is completed as per the project schedule.
• Fulfil the role of Temporary Works Coordinator when required.
• Liaise with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager, Site Manager/Agent, and Contract Surveyor regarding cost control, waste management, variations, and confirmations of instructions.
• Monitor daily site activities and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Identify and report any defective work by contractors or subcontractors to consultants.
• Liaise with authorities, consultants, contractors, and other relevant parties.
• Supervise daily operations at the construction site and ensure work compliance.
• Update manpower attendance, materials, quantities, and machinery records.
• Coordinate transportation for site workers.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (any discipline) or Architecture.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Availability to work on Saturdays.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding English.

Optional (to be discussed during interview)

• Possession of own transport (preferably a car).
• Residency in Kuala Lumpur or the Klang Valley.
• Possession of a GDL (Goods Driving License).
