Job description

The Senior Sales Executive/Sales Executive should be able to negotiate a successful deal with clients in terms of satisfactory required dates, rooms, rates, and other appropriate activities during the client’s occupancy of the hotel premises. They will need to conduct an exit interview with clients to determine their level of satisfaction and to ask for additional business.

1. Coordinating with the Head of Department

They are expected to consult daily with the Senior Sales Manager/Assistant Director of Sales concerning the Region covered in their sales calls and how it relates to the sales of the hotel. They are also expected to handle any additional responsibilities and projects as directed by the Senior Sales Manager/Assistant Director of Sales.

2. Communication with Other Departments

Inform all necessary departments regarding tentative bookings as well as confirmed bookings.

Sales calls handled are tailor‑made to suit the needs of potential clients. Therefore, it is crucial for them to know well about their market segment. They are also expected to solicit new accounts in the Northern Region and manage existing accounts to maximize guestroom nights.

4. Evaluation of sales progress

They are expected to hand in a weekly, monthly, and annual report supporting his or her productivity standards.

Job Requirement
  • Possess a Diploma in Business Administration/Marketing or any other equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales & marketing within the hotel industry will be an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of success in a sales role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Words, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Power Point)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Possess strong influence and negotiation skills.
  • Positive working attitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
