A major financial institution in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a senior HR professional to lead Rewards & Performance Management at the group level. This strategic role requires developing and implementing group-wide strategies and managing performance management projects. Candidates should possess 8–10+ years of experience in total rewards, strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence senior management. We’re working on behalf of a major financial institution to recruit a senior-level HR professional to lead Rewards & Performance Management at group level. This is a strategic role responsible for shaping and driving the organisation’s total rewards and performance strategy across multiple functions/business units.
Develop and implement group-wide total rewards and performance management strategies and policies.
Lead and manage rewards & performance management projects and initiatives, including short-term and long-term incentive schemes, salary and benefits benchmarking, performance review cycles, and bonus/ LTI programmes.
Provide advisory and analytics support on base salary, benefits, incentives, long-term incentives (LTI), performance management systems (PMS), and other reward-related matters.
Oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement control measures to ensure initiatives are cost-effective and aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to drive effective implementation of rewards and performance initiatives, ensuring change management and stakeholder alignment.
Lead HR analytics and external benchmarking to guide reward and performance decisions, including compensation reviews and incentive design.
Prepare and present reports, board/committee papers, and management presentations on rewards, performance, and compensation matters.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies, and best practices.
Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
8–10+ years of relevant experience in total rewards, performance management, or strategic HR, ideally within financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and project management experience.
Proven ability to manage complex reward and performance programmes end-to-end.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed organisation, influence senior management, and deliver results.
Lead strategic rewards and performance initiatives at a senior level within a reputable financial institution.
