Provides regulatory, scientific and nutrition support to the business unit.
The incumbent keeps abreast of local & overseas countries regulatory knowledge.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure raw material, product recipe / formulation, label and communication material compliance to the regulatory requirement of Malaysia, Brunei and other markets as identified by IMD division. This including create & maintaining product details, review & approve product labelling and communication material.
Prepare and maintain documentation for label, healthier choice application, pre-market registration, etc.
Assist in implement validated action plans in response to regulatory changes in the market.
Ensure ingredients used by business unit complies to the halal requirement of JAKIM and to provide technical assistance to business unit in applying halal certification for company products.
Support nutrition expertise in company products (beverage, dairy, ice cream, foods, and confectionery), to help evaluate the nutritional quality of F&N’s product portfolio and to identify opportunities for further improvement based on trends in public health, nutrition policies and guidelines, product usage and competitor analysis.
Support manufacturing plants in water license and VHM application.
Support any other tasks which may be assigned as and when required.
