Nature and aim of the position
Quality Assurance (QA) Automated Testers are responsible for testing integrated systems, both internal and external. This includes third-party messages, MCG, VTG, Middleware that interacts with CS POS/ATM/EComm hardware/software, Host code, and Scheme mandates. Testing and Certification ensure that transaction messages meet client and industry specifications or requirements.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with 5-7 years of experience.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Work closely with developers, business stakeholders, and act as an integral part of the CS development team using an iterative development process
- Create test plans for enhancements and fixes on applications in collaboration with development teams
- Perform manual and automated functional, regression, and performance testing on the Data Invariant Layer project
- Perform testing on all Utility Technology systems and projects
- Help manage, develop, and improve processes and procedures within the department
- Manage work according to work plans for engagement components
- Provide a positive role model in work performance and attitude
Main KPIs
- Number of requirements addressed directly and indirectly in testing
- Targets for defects fixed per day, per version, per sprint
- Number of test cases completed (daily, weekly, per iteration, per version)
- Active defect count, ensuring critical and major defects are fixed promptly
- Finalization of development with updated test cases, release notes, and handover documentation
- Meeting sprint tasks within the 10-day sprint period

Background and Education
- Strong knowledge of QA methodology and Agile
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and quality
- Understanding of SQL and ability to perform basic data pulls
- Knowledge of Linux commands
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good defect management skills
Specific skills and knowledge
- SQL, Linux command knowledge and experience (ADT requirement)
- Experience with IPM/Base II and shell scripting (bonus)
- Ability to create test cases, experience with Java, BDD, Jenkins, ReadyAPI/SoupUI, API Testing, JMeter, Testrail
- Payments knowledge: ISO messages, EMV, Contactless tags, AID, TMS
- Experience in Integration & API testing with tools like ReadyAPI, JMeter, Postman
- POS/ATM experience, knowledge of AS2805 and ISO 8583 (advantageous)
- Experience with hotel, retail, or food/beverage systems like Opera, Simphony, Shiji
- Logical and creative thinking for QA processes
