Oversee and ensure quality control throughout all stages of the manufacturing process – from incoming inspection to final product verification.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Production, and Final Inspection teams to enable early defect detection and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Lead in-depth investigations of quality issues.
- Develop and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement.
- Define and lead validation and qualification activities for new processes or equipment that impact product quality.
- Monitor and improve process capability using statistical tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to improve team competency and performance.
- Conduct training on quality tools (e.g., 7 QC tools, FMEA, Control Plans).
- Support Quality Management System (QMS) awareness programs and Optical knowledge transfer.
- Develop and maintain procedures related to metrology and quality assurance.
- Ensure procedures reflect industry best practices for equipment operation, calibration, measurement methods, and traceability.
- Periodically review and update procedures for accuracy, consistency, and QMS compliance.
- Prepare and present monthly quality performance reports.
- Propose improvement plans to the QA Manager based on data-driven insights.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of QA experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally involving both product and process quality.
- Proven experience in leading quality projects and using statistical tools for quality analysis.
- Certified Internal ISO Auditor with strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and 8D problem-solving.
- Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Minitab).
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing; Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge in Optical fabrication, Optical science, and assembly processes.
- Ability to interpret optical drawings and specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
