Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project P6 Planner to join our Construction team in Kempas, Johor. In this full-time leadership role, you will take ownership of complex project schedules, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving the successful delivery of large-scale mechanical and electrical construction projects. You will serve as the subject matter expert in Primavera P6, guiding planning standards and mentoring junior planners.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the development and management of master project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, resource leveling, and earned value management (EVM) to monitor performance and forecast outcomes.
  • Provide strategic insights to project managers and senior leadership, highlighting risks, delays, and opportunities for acceleration.
  • Establish and enforce planning standards and best practices, ensuring consistency across all projects.
  • Mentor and support junior planners, building team capability in scheduling and project controls.
  • Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align schedules with budgets, manpower, and procurement strategies.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with at least 5 years specializing in Primavera P6.
  • Proven track record in large-scale construction projects, preferably mechanical & electrical works.
  • Strong expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and project controls methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management, EVM, and schedule optimization techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and adapt to evolving requirements.
