The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and delivering theme park attractions and children’s jungle gym installations from concept through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with safety standards, while coordinating internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end project management for theme park rides, indoor playgrounds, and installations.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource schedules.
- Coordinate installation activities including civil works, structural assembly, mechanical setup, and finishing.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management
- Liaise with mall management, consultants, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Manage contractors on-site to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct regular site meetings and progress reporting to management.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all installations comply with local authority requirements, safety regulations, and international playground standards (e.g. EN, ASTM, TUV where applicable).
- Implement safety risk assessments, method statements, and inspection checklists.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of completed attractions.
Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor project costs, variations, and claims to ensure budget control.
- Review quotations, approve progress payments, and manage variation orders.
- Lead and mentor project coordinators, site supervisors, and technicians.
- Ensure effective communication between design, operations, and installation teams.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare project reports, timelines, progress updates, and handover documentation.
- Maintain complete project records including drawings, permits, and certifications.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of project management experience, preferably in:
- Theme parks
- Adventure attractions
- Construction or fit-out projects
- Proven experience managing multi-site or mall-based installations.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong understanding of construction, structural systems, and installation processes.
- Knowledge of playground safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management skills.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Problem‑solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work under tight timelines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel and work on‑site as required.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in active construction and installation environments.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, or other project management tools is an advantage.
