About the job Senior Project Finance/Investment Associate

CDAS Search is working closely with a renewable energy developer looking to expand their team in Malaysia as they look to pursue projects across the Asia region.

This role will play a pivotal in their expansion plans and will work closely with senior management in shaping investment decisions for the group.

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and due diligence to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Perform financial modelling, valuation, and risk analysis to assess the feasibility and profitability of potential investments.
  • Collaborate with senior team members in structuring deals and preparing investment memos for presentation to the investment committee.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on target companies, including analysing financial statements, legal documentation, and impact assessments.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments in the renewable energy sector to inform investment strategies.
  • Monitor and manage existing investments, analyse performance, and identify opportunities for value creation.
  • Help prepare regular reports and updates on investment performance for internal stakeholders and investors.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, economics, engineering or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction services, advisory/consulting or renewable energy/infrastructure project finance.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in financial analysis, valuation, and investment appraisal.
  • Experience in working with and coordinating legal, technical and financial advisors during the due diligence phase of a transaction.
  • Ability to critically analyse data, draw meaningful insights, and make informed investment decisions.
