Job summary

A manufacturing company in Johor, Kulai, is seeking an experienced assembly line manager to optimize production efficiency and ensure quality control. You will be responsible for designing the assembly line layout, planning manpower deployment, developing SOPs, and conducting staff training. The ideal candidate has strong background in assembly line operations and technical troubleshooting, ensuring zero defects in production. This role requires excellent organizational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly line management and production processes.
• Ability to plan manpower deployment effectively.
• Strong skills in writing SOPs that are easy to follow.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection requirements.
• Knowledge of material planning and inventory management.
• Experience in conducting training sessions and coaching staff.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and organize the assembly line layout for efficiency and safety.
• Plan manpower deployment for each work station and product line.
• Write and update easy-to-follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Set quality standards and inspection requirements for zero defects.
• Identify and specify correct raw materials and tools for production.
• Conduct training sessions on new processes and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement improvements.

Job description

Assembly Line Products Change Setup: Design and organize the assembly line layout to ensure maximum efficiency and safety.

Manpower planning: to plan deployment of manpower for each work station for each product line.

SOP Development: Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are easy for workers to follow.

Quality Control (QC): Set the quality standards and inspection requirements to ensure zero defects in the final product.

Material Planning: Identify and specify the correct raw materials and tools required for production.

Training & Coaching: specific Conduct training sessions for staff on new processes, equipment use, and safety protocols.

Technical issue trouble shooting and make improvement thru PDCA, DOE, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, 5S etc.
