The Senior Specification Executive is responsible for driving early-stage product specification and influencing project decisions to ensure ALCOM aluminium solutions are specified, protected, and successfully converted into sales. The role focuses on building strong relationships with key specifiers and stakeholders, providing technical expertise, and managing projects through the full design-to-execution lifecycle to support sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and secure ALCOM aluminium product specifications with architects, consultants, engineers, developers, and key decision-makers.
- Manage and grow the product specification portfolio across assigned key accounts, consultants, and projects.
- Engage stakeholders across design, specification, tender, and execution stages to secure and protect specifications.
- Drive specification-to-sales conversion by working closely with internal sales, technical, operations, and marketing teams.
- Deliver agreed specification targets, project pipeline growth, and revenue potential within assigned territory or accounts.
- Provide high-level technical and commercial support, including compliance responses and specification documentation.
- Track project pipelines, specification status, forecasting, and reporting for management review.
- Represent ALCOM at industry events, seminars, and key project meetings, upholding technical and brand standards.
- Contribute market intelligence, competitor insights, and strategic input to support business growth and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building / Construction Management, Materials Science, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in specification sales, technical sales, or project-based roles within the building materials, aluminium, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the construction and specification process, including design, tender, and execution stages.
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Good communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel locally and possess a valid driving license.
