Job summary

A global semiconductor leader in Malacca is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and conduct regular inspections. The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic engineering and at least 5 years of experience in the plating industry. This role focuses on optimizing maintenance tasks and ensuring smooth operation of equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years working experience in plating industry is advantageous.
• Understanding of equipment components and maintenance requirements.
• Conducting regular equipment inspections and assessments.

Job description

Overview

Develop and maintain PM schedules based on equipment specifications and historical data. Ensure timely execution of PM activities with proper coordination across departments.

Your Role

• Regular inspections, adjustments, and servicing of equipment to ensure smooth operation and prevent potential issues. Identify wear and tear before it causes breakdown.
• Prepare maintenance reports, downtime analysis, and improvement proposals.
• Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance tasks to reduce cost, time, and equipment wear.
• Maximize communications delegations to subordinates and follow up to ensure instructions are understood and carried out.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and propose long-term solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, PM checklists, and history logs.

Your Profile

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic or relevant with minimum 5 years working experience in plating industry is advantageous.
• Understanding of equipment components and maintenance requirements.
• Conducting regular equipment inspections and assessments.
