A leading nutrition company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior National Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team, manage key account relationships, and drive growth strategies. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree and have over 15 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG. This role focuses on team leadership, strategic planning, and sales execution across the trade channel. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions are essential.

As the Senior National Sales Manager (Trade), you’ll have the chance to lead a high-performing sales team, set strategic direction, and execute business and multifunctional processes across your channel. You’ll manage key account relationships, drive joint business planning, and ensure perfect execution of sales fundamentals in a stewardship-compliant manner.
Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring long-term strategic partnerships.
Sales Growth: Lead and develop growth strategies for key accounts, identifying new revenue opportunities and increasing market share.
Product Listing Optimization: Collaborate with marketing/trade marketing to optimize product visibility and presence at store level.
Promotions & Campaigns: Lead development and execution of promotional campaigns, pricing strategies, and seasonal offers.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities. Provide performance reports and actionable insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, trade marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless operations.
Budget Management: Manage and optimize trade spend to ensure ROI for promotional plans and activities.
Joint Business Planning: Lead annual planning and JBP preparation with retailers.
Channel Execution: Ensure superior execution of initiatives across customers in line with company guidelines.
Go-To-Market Reinvention: Lead ideation and execution of GTM strategies for your channel/customer portfolio.
Distributor Engagement: Actively engage with distributors in West and East Malaysia to ensure inventory and service level requirements are met.
Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably in Business Management.
Minimum 15 years of related experience, preferably within FMCG or consumer goods sectors.
Proven experience in managing a team and leading strategic sales initiatives.
