Job summary

A manufacturing firm is seeking a Human Resources and Administration Manager. The successful candidate will lead HR operations, develop effective policies, and manage compliance with Malaysian labor laws. Overview

To lead and manage HR & Admin operations, including but not limited to policy development, performance management, strategic workforce planning, adherence to labor laws, and efficient administrative operations in support of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Managements: Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with company goals and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Talent Management
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding of employees.
  • Manage performance management systems, appraisal, and incentive frameworks.
  • Plan and manage training & development programs, leadership development, and skills enhancement.
  • Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
  • Handle employee relations issues, disciplinary matters, grievances, and counseling.
  • Represent the company in labor-related matters, including dealings with authorities (JTK, JKKP, SOCSO, etc).
  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and other relevant legislation.
  • Review and manage salary structures, benefits, bonuses, and rewards.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy and statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRDF).
  • Administration & Facilities
  • Oversee administrative functions including office management, facilities, assets, security, and general services.
  • Manage vendors, contracts, and administrative budgets.
  • Leadership & Reporting
  • Lead, coach, and manage the HR & Admin team.
  • Prepare HR reports, analysis, and recommendations for Management.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of HR & Admin experience, including managerial level.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, integrity, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
