Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist the head of department in designing and developing a cross-company, cross-functional sustainability roadmap strategy
  • Collaborate with functions and business to integrate sustainability initiatives into core business operations, monitor the progress as well as be a champion for the delivery of these initiatives
  • Lead the collation, ensuring accuracy and monitoring of sustainability performance e.g. Scope 1, 2 and 3 emission for the various business units and functions in the groups and reporting to the management and board on progress against targets
  • Key support in the assurance process for sustainability and ESG disclosures, including preparing documentation, engaging with internal/external assurance providers, and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Key contributor in the development of annual sustainability reporting, the necessary disclosures and ensuring adherence to the relevant reporting requirements and framework
  • Work alongside risk management and businesses to identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities as well as to develop mitigation strategies for sustainability-related risks.
  • Preparation of sustainability framework and relevant business policies to enhance sustainability practices within the organisation
  • Monitor sustainability trends and advise the leadership team on emerging issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Undertake all ad-hoc projects, assignments or any other duties as and when requested by the Management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years’ work experience with knowledge and prior experience and/ or exposure in sustainability
  • Experience working in a PLC will be an added advantage
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting and the relevant reporting requirements
  • Possess a strong interest and commitment in the field of sustainability.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing sustainability programs in a corporate setting
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of tasks and is a team player committed to achieving common goals.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
