Job summary

A leading recruitment platform in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced finance manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the finance department. The candidate will be responsible for preparing financial forecasts and budgets while managing accounts payable, receivable, and treasury functions. A degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification, along with at least 8 years of experience in finance, is required. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and initiates effective communication with banks and auditors.

Job description
  • Manage day-to-day operation of the finance department, including accounts payable, receivable, treasury, audit, taxation, and other related functions
  • Prepare financial forecast, budgets, and reports for evaluation by the Board of Directors
  • Review and analyze management accounts and cash flows of the company and its subsidiaries to meet deadlines set out
  • Communicate with bankers on bank facilities and account operations
  • Manage and supervise cash flow and treasury works that include checks on payments, receipts, and other banking transactions
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agents for statutory filing
  • Prepare and provide ad hoc reports to management from time to time
  • Familiar with accounting standards (IFRS), Group consolidated accounts
  • Familiar with mainly SQL and MYOB accounting systems
  • Experience in property management, development, and construction will be an added advantage
Requirements
  • Possess a Degree in Accounting/Finance/full professional qualification of CPA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Enthusiastic approach to work in a fast-paced environment
  • At least 8 years of working experience in the related field
