Facilities Management
- Lead and manage all facilities operations, including M&E systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lifts, generators, and ELV systems).
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance programs are implemented effectively.
- Oversee building infrastructure, utilities, and common areas to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide facilities and technical support for events, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Sales, and Event teams to meet event requirements.
- Ensure timely setup, standby support, and post-event rectification works.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, local authority regulations, and safety standards (e.g. BOMBA, DOSH, TNB, MBPP, etc.).
- Oversee fire safety, emergency response plans, and building inspections.
- Manage audits, inspections, and certification renewals.
- Manage appointed contractors and service providers (security, cleaning, M&E, pest control, waste management, etc.).
- Review contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance standards.
- Ensure cost control and service quality are maintained.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage facilities operating budgets and CAPEX planning.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost optimisation initiatives.
- Review quotations, recommendations, and procurement requests.
- Lead and supervise the facilities team, including technicians and supervisors.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Prepare management reports, incident reports, and operational updates.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Facilities Management) or equivalent.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a Exhibition & Convention Centre.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, building services, and statutory compliance.
- Proven leadership and contractor management experience.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Able to work extended hours during events or emergencies when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing large-scale facilities or event venues.
- Familiarity with asset management systems and preventive maintenance planning.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Hands-on, proactive, and results-driven.
