Job summary

A leading analytics firm in Malaysia is looking for a Senior Manager in Data Analytics and Decision Science. The role involves providing advanced analytics to enhance marketing campaigns and customer experiences, developing data models, and leading a team of data analysts. This is a full-time position with a salary range of MYR 10,000 to MYR 17,000 per month.

What requirements you'll need to be eligible

Qualification

  • Strong academic qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Decision Science, Statistics, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. in analytics, data science) are an added advantage.

Experience

  • 5-10 years' experience in data-related/quantitative fields such as Analytics, Statistics.
  • High level of proficiency in analysing quantitative and qualitative data. Experienced in handling large datasets and maintaining complex ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes.
  • Strong experience in building and leading data team, owning end-to-end data analytics.
  • Strong storytelling abilities to convey data-driven insights, strategies.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and their usage. Proficient in creating dashboards using, e.g., Tableau, Power BI or other visualisation tools. Fluent with SQL / Python / R / scripting/programming languages.
  • Knowledge in CRM-based and marketing-based analytics.
  • Led a team in relevant field.
What you'll be doing on the job

Provide advanced analytics and strategic recommendations to improve marketing campaigns results and customer experience – insights on consumer/customer behaviours, needs, preferences. With sufficient data, move to predicting consumer/customer behaviour, and personalised interactions.

Leveraging data insights, identify areas for improvement, prompting pre-emptive and corrective actions when required across customer journey loop, depts. Transform requirements into concise insights through reports, presentations, dashboards, and consolidate data from multiple sources to create comprehensive views for decision-making.

Frame business scenarios and propose features that impact critical business processes and decisions. Launch A/B tests, analyse results and provide recommendations based on findings.

Develop data pipelines and custom and deploy data science-related models to solve identified problems. Analyse complex data sets, perform statistical analysis, develop predictive models to support business decision.

Develop strategy and implementation plan to bring BSIB to level of data maturity, potentially leading the adoption of big data > machine learning > AI.

Recommend key metrics to drive business decisions; new data sensors/tagging to be placed/repositioned for better insights and tracking to optimise initiatives (marketing performance, customer experience, etc.) with seamless integration of analytics into initiatives (e.g., campaign planning and execution, and CRM).

Serve as analytics & insights thought partner to TXD depts, product teams, UI/UX, product owners, process owners. Collaborate with business/departments to understand business objectives and deliver customised analytics solutions and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Keep abreast of latest market trends, industry developments, competitor movements to contribute insights.

Lead a team of data analysts and develop their capabilities in decision science.

Develop/strengthen data governance and compliance.

Lead team to produce reports as required by departments with insights where relevant.

Perform any assignments given by Management from time to time.
