Job description

This role is responsible to manage the Company’s compliance, risk, and corporate liability/integrity function to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, ethical standards, and internal controls, while supporting the Board and Senior Management in maintaining strong governance and organisational integrity.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead enterprise-wide risk, compliance, and corporate liability/integrity initiatives, managing issues that may impact profitability, reputation, and sustainability.
• Champion a strong compliance and integrity culture by working closely with divisions and stakeholders, ensuring awareness, accountability, and proactive engagement across the organisation.
• Support oversight of the governance profile for the Board of Directors and Senior Management Committee, including appraisal of governance stature and protection of organisational, customer, asset, and stakeholder interests.
• Ensure consistency and effectiveness of policies, methodologies, and processes related to risk, compliance, and integrity management.
• Prepare high-quality reports, documentation, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders, including BARC and the Board.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department as part of the senior management function.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC); background in auditing or integrity management is an advantage.
• Proven experience dealing with internal and external auditors and key stakeholders.
• High level of integrity with strong confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Excellent leadership, management, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in computer applications and productivity tools.
• Familiarity with industry-recognised risk, regulatory frameworks, and risk & compliance management methodologies.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
