Job description

Manage and administer the division and daily work to ensure operations run smoothly following the company's policies and regulations as stipulated.

Responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling the division's activities and expenses.

Responsible for advising the company in matters related to procurement related to Avionics.

Ensure that the workforce is sufficient, qualified, meets training requirements, disciplined and highly motivated to improve the service level of the department.

Overseeing the division’s staff and ensuring that they meet deadlines and deliver high quality work.

Cooperate with the Quality Department in implementing the company's quality and audit program.

Ensuring all health and safety, as well as company regulations are followed by staff at all times.

Determining that all facilities and equipment are in good condition and maintained according to schedule so that they can always be used.

Responsible for providing technical assistance and training to other departments.

Be responsible in carrying out other activities that are set by the upper management.

Represent the department in Management meetings/briefings involving the company and other agencies.

Establishing and maintaining relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners.

Liaising with existing staff members, managers, supervisors, and clients in order to achieve set goals.

Observing, analyzing, and offering suggestions on current operations.

Scheduling meetings and training sessions with staff and other stakeholders.

Assisting with recruitment, training, and on-boarding processes of Avionic department.

Establishing professional relationships with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.

Liaising with staff and organizing team building events that take everyone's needs into account.

Conducting research, writing up reports, and presenting findings to staff and other stakeholders.

Maintaining relationships with clients and finding creative ways to expand the organization.

Attending workshops, lectures, and training sessions wherever possible.

To perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when necessary at ad-hoc basis.

Job requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Firmware Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or other related disciplines within the aerospace, aviation, or defence industry.

Possesses 15 years of relevant industry experience with strong knowledge of Military Design Organization Approval (MDOA), the Malaysian State Technical Airworthiness Manual (MSTAM), Aerospace Standard (AS)9100D, and ISO 9001, which would be a value-added advantage.

Vast experience in troubleshooting of hardware, maintaining of electronic system, upgrading/modernizing of legacy system and developing procedures.

Good communication skills and maturity to deal with difficult situations.

Good knowledge in software, hardware and programming.
