Overview

Senior Manager / Associate Director – Science & Regulatory Affairs (Asia).

Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end product registration strategies across all operating markets in Asia, ensuring timely approvals and full compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and relevant government bodies on all compliance-related matters, including product classification, labelling requirements, tariff/HS code issues, and regulatory interpretations; proactively identify regulatory risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor, analyse, and interpret regulatory trends, international standards, industry guidelines, and market practices to support business decisions and product strategy.
  • Translate complex scientific and regulatory information into clear, effective messages for both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across commercial, marketing, and technical platforms.
  • Lead and support the development and commercialisation of new product concepts and in-house brands, including formulation development, safety and regulatory compliance, product positioning, licensing, and certification.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of food, distribution, and related regulatory frameworks, certifications, and policies, and ensure continuous compliance across all applicable markets.
  • Represent the organisation in relevant industry bodies, trade associations, and regulatory forums, advocating company interests where appropriate.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities or special projects as assigned by management from time to time.
Job requirements
  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Food Science / Technology / Nutrition or equivalent from accredited institutions of higher learning or higher.
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in the F&B or FMCG or Food Trading industry.
  • Sound knowledge and comprehension of local and ASEAN food regulations, HS Code and tariff schedule will be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to multitask, independent as well as being a good team player.
  • Ability tto deal with China stakeholders.
  • Passionate, responsible, ability to manage and lead people.
