Job summary

Job description
Job Description

The purpose of the role is to ensure that Production machines, setup machine, waste water, purified water are well maintain to minimize long downtime and for facility repair work.

Carry out maintenance tasks as assigned by the Engineer/Supervisor for maintenance, purified and waste water.

Carry out tasks in a productive and safe manner while maintaining the quality.

Conduct preventive maintenance for premise, equipment, utilities and facility according to standard operating procedures.

Conduct maintenance of equipment as scheduled.

Conduct cleaning of filters for all air-conditioning systems in the factory, laboratories and office.

Conduct periodic maintenance and assigned recording of purified water system, compressed air system, electrical substation and waste water.

Assist in setting up equipment for production operations.

Assist in commissioning of equipment.

Record data in the logbooks and forms according to the GMP requirements.

Examine and repair equipment that has broken down.

Maintain personal hygiene practices in the GMP areas.

Report to the Engineer for any deviations or errors. These include machinery problems, shortages of tools and machinery parts, insufficient resources to conduct tasks assigned and other process abnormalities.

Report any potential hazards to safety that are observed in the production area to the Engineer.

Technical Competencies & Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed ST-approved Chargeman A1 training programme
  • Sound knowledge of Electricity Supply Act 1990 and Electricity Regulations 1994
  • Operation and maintenance of low-voltage (LV) electrical installations up to 100A
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical single line diagrams (SLD) and wiring drawings
  • Knowledge of electrical protection systems, including MCB, MCCB, ELCB/RCCB
  • Competent in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of LV electrical systems
  • Understanding of earthing and grounding systems
  • Operate and monitor low voltage (LV) gensets
  • Carry out basic operation & routine maintenance
  • Handle LV electrical systems up to 1,000V
  • Work under supervision if the system is more complex
  • Conducting routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance

Familiar with electrical safety procedures, including :

  • Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO)
  • Permit-to-Work (PTW)
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
